- Radar horizon derivation

The best way to get a feel for the radar horizon is to derive it. This problem does require some algebra. If you are familiar with algebra, try to do the derivation. For a sensor at height h, with the radius of the earth represented as rearth, the distance to the horizon can be approximated as

Distance to the horizon R = (2·rearth·h)0.5

Derive the equation.
