In chapter 13, we cover pulse compression techniques. To achieve high range resolution without an incredibly high peak power, one needs pulse compression. In pulse compression, a code is modulated onto the pulsed waveform on transmit. On receive, the code is used to combine the signal information to achieve a high range resolution. There are several techniques for achieving pulse compression. Problems in this chapter will give practice in all of these areas.
